Wild Child

P has been practicing his jump stops lately. He will jump a few times and then keep his legs straight and come to a quick stop. I find it amusing to watch. He certainly isn't timid when it comes to bouncing. He goes full throttle like this whenever he is awake...you would think he would crash hard at night...

P already likes to play rough. Today in his crib he decided to arch his back and lift his little arms as high as he could reach in an attempt to pull down on the animals on his mobile. The next minute he was grabbing at the bumpers and a short while later was attacking the sound machine. It is hard to hold on to him because he just wants to go. He is bound and determined to get moving. I can't believe this kid is only 3 months. How quickly one learns! When he does get his wheels I will need to be on high alert.

He also loves to use his voice. When playing with his dad the house is seldom quiet. I'm sure he can't wait to yell with Grandpa in the entrance and listen to the echoes. Grandpa will be in his glory with the vocals on this little guy.

This weekend we are going on our first getaway with the family. A trip to Grand Forks is in the plans. I'm certain the ride will be somewhat of a nightmare, but remain optimistic that eventually he will fall asleep. This is our first trip outside a 50 km radius. It's probably a good thing we are taking along some support...Grandma wakes up at about the same time as P, so maybe we can have a few extra minutes of sleep. Callie will also be a source of entertainment for all of us. It will be awesome family time, and I can't think of a better way to spend my dad's birthday weekend.
