And in the morning...I'm makin' waffles!

He must think we are crazy! P experienced his first Halloween yesterday and I'm sure he's still trying to figure out why his parents decided to dress him as some crazy looking creature. What must be even more mind boggling is that his already wacky folks took on a whole new appearance. P's first Halloween was obviously more about fun for his parents. All three of us got suited up and made appearances at a few select locations. All things considered P did awesome and was a trooper. After a trip out to the farm he needed a little recharge, but then stayed tough for the final two destinations. Our little donkey was a treat to share...and the treats he gathered are being enjoyed by his mom and dad!

Things have been a little tiring around here as of late. P has developed a dislike for sleep.  He has definitely regressed, which makes the nights a little longer. We had a stretch where he seemed accepting of the fact that he had to nap...that too has been lost. He physically fights and screams during those dreaded times.  When he wakes up he's such a happy boy with huge smiles...hopefully one day he will realize that it is the sleep that makes him feel this good. We are all hanging in there, and although his energy level seems unaffected, his mom has moments where she struggles to keep up! I'm hoping it's just a phase that will pass shortly.

The little guy is going to be busy. You can see it in his eyes that he's often thinking about his next move and how he's going to accomplish it. He is using his hands to manipulate the world around him. He likes the things he sees his mom and dad using, such as our phones, the keyboard, the washer and dryer knobs and buttons, and food containers. These are always much more interesting than the toys that surround him.
