A New Year

The New Year has arrived. I'm a little behind I guess. The trip to Minneapolis was great. The only downfall was the drive there. Driving 70 km/h from Fargo to Minneapolis on a sheet of ice isn't the most relaxing experience. But we made it! The hotel was fancy. I looked out of place, but it's good to pretend that you deserve luxury every now and then. There wasn't a lot of relaxing time...it was pretty much go, go go. That's how things usually are with me. I get my itinerary and follow through.

The hockey game was the highlight. I love watching hockey. NHL hockey is fantastic, and so are my Marleau and Thornton. It was unfortunate that my team ended up losing in overtime. It was a valliant effort, and honestly, San Jose really deserved to win.

So we cab to the Xcel Energy Center and then have the joys of trying to find a cab ride back. After cruising some tunnels on foot, and scouting out pay phones, we came across a willing driver who knew the way to the hotel. Most of the rest of the evening was spent at TGI Fridays. The only pictures that got taken were at the game. Boring to some, but I like them. Even saw a statue of Herb Brooks.

School tomorrow. The morning is going to come way to quickly. I am excited about seeing the kids again. I miss them. There are other things I'm not so excited about, but I'll deal and get through this transition like all the rest. A couple of weeks till the new semester.
I'm tired and no longer am making any sense. Tomorrow we have our first basketball game. We havent even really practiced but I guess we'll just take it as it comes. It'll be a long day. A long week actually. I should sleep.
